Though christian psychology always seemed to stay closer to philosophy than to any field of science, this article reveals not obvious possibility of christian psychology research. As for me, this is one of the most significant directions of contemprorary psychology and a real challenge to psychologist as well. Thank you for this article!
The article raises a current issue of the basis in Christian Psychology scientific studies. Since Christian psychology is a special branch of integrative knowledge, it claims to be an integral vision of a man, so the proposed principle of the unity of scientific and one’s views’ settings and Christian ideas really suits. Still, it is difficult for science to grasp spiritual manifestation of a man, that is why it’s important to understand the nature of the studied object. Hence, the method is a living, seeking movement towards the object, a creative adaptation to it, "exploration", invention, living in it, the empathy in it, often improvisation, sometimes - transformation".
The article appears to be of a great interest as it reveals the main concept of the individual's spiritual balance. It is denoted by the system 'body-soul-spirit', which is mentioned by the author of the research. This systems seems to be a key to one's understanding of a harmonised personality that can be viewed as a unity of the physically stabilised frame, psychologically and emotionally balanced nature, and inner religiousness or spirituality.
